AVR provides unique opportunities for students to engage with high-tech equipment, preparing them for a future in a highly technical world. Students use industry-standard aircraft, giving them real-world experiences that translate to future careers.
Going Above and Beyond
AVR goes beyond out-of-the-box kits with drag-and-drop software. Students are engaged in designing, fabricating, building, and troubleshooting a real aircraft. Once it's built, AVR teams learn language-level programming to develop the code needed to operate their creation.

Bell Helicopter Engineer, Rohn Olson was concerned about the need for more students entering the Aerospace and Computer Science workforce pipeline. He reviewed various robotics and STEM competitions but found they were missing the skills he and other industry leaders were looking for in their next generation of employees. So, Rohn created a program to fill this void. Advanced Vertical Robotics (AVR) is the pinnacle of STEM programs. Your support and sponsorship will help us grow this competition to multiple regions nationwide to ensure ALL students get access to this top-tier program.
